This will be a hybrid event, offered concurrently with the in-person portion at the Sullivan Chapel at Unitarian Society of Germantown, 6511 Lincoln Drive Philadelphia, PA 19119, and the online portion via Zoom. Rae will be in-person at the Unitarian Society of Germantown.

Description

How do we truly bring our mindfulness practice into our daily lives and into our relationships? In this daylong we will explore practices to support an integrated internal connection of body, heart and mind. And we will use our internal explorations of connection as a platform to investigate and understand what happens for us when we connect with others. Can we stay integrated in our internal connection and open genuinely to connect with others? Let’s explore this together.

This program is appropriate for both new and experienced meditators. Everyone is welcome.

Dana (Generosity) will be well received and shared with Rae to support her in offering this program.

Teacher Bio: Rae is a meditation teacher and mindfulness coach. She is passionate about integrating mindfulness into daily life activities as she believes that embodying our practice is essential to our growth and happiness. She finds patience and humour to be of great benefit when learning to observe the habits and tendencies of the heart/mind. She believes that we, as humans, are nature, that what we experience in our bodies and in our hearts and minds is the unfolding of nature. She sees the practice as a support for opening to our own true nature and living a more authentic life.

She has practiced extensively in both the Insight Meditation tradition and the Vajrayana tradition. She also studies and practices mysticism with Thomas Hubl. She finds the interweaving of these approaches to be complementary of a deeply compassionate and discerning practice.

She holds a Masters degree in Somatic Psychology and am a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner.

Lastly, she loves discussing the practice and meditating with others.
