Teacher Bio:
Esther Wyss-Flamm, PhD, brings a unique blend of expertise, life experience, and joy to her classes, events and programs. Her instruction is rooted in the belief that the profound benefits of mindfulness are accessible to everyone and necessary for social change. As a long-time mindfulness practitioner, she has training in meditation, breath awareness, women’s empowerment, and yoga for chronic health conditions. Esther is certified as an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher and trained in the Kripalu tradition.
Mindfulness sustained Esther through years of academic work and a high-intensity career as staff development trainer for UNICEF and other international organizations, which had her traveling globally, especially in Africa.
Esther owns her own business and serves individuals, sustainability-oriented organizations and their leaders in the Philadelphia area. She is Board President of the Philadelphia area Weavers Way Co-op and active on the Co-op’s Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee.
